Sustainable development is a program created by the United Nations to be able to meet the needs of the community which in the development process is principled to meet the needs of the present without having to sacrifice the needs of future generations. There are 17 goals of sustainable development that must be realized by United Nations member states that adopt sustainable development. In this case, to be able to implement a sustainable development, the community, academics, government and private sector must synergize with each other in order to realize a sustainable development. Sustainable development will not be possible in a country if it does not go hand in hand with a culture that is indeed in the country or region so that the name of sustainable development here must go hand in hand with a culture. In this study using a literature study research method where the researchers here use the average of international and national journals that can indeed contribute in answering the results of this study. In the results of this study, culture provides a very large role to be able to support sustainable development considering that a culture is the result of the values and character habits of a region or country so that the culture in each region here will be different. With the existence of culture, it can be used as a reference for regulators to implement a sustainable development in the region.
